APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
NEW CONCRETE
Concrete should be allowed to cure fully (at least 14 days) before application of Base 381 Tilt Panel Primer. Any crumbling, loose or protruding sections of concrete should be removed by grinding and/or acid etching.
Prepare a dilute solution of hydrochloric acid (1 part acid to 20 parts water) and broom over surface. Ensure surface stays wet for approx. 10 minutes and then pressure clean at approx. 3000psi using a liberal amount of water. Allow to dry.
APPLICATION METHOD
Base 381 Tilt Panel Primer is a solvent based primer and has a strong odour – apply in well ventilated areas only. Base 381 Tilt Panel Primer is highly flammable – take all precautions to ensure no source of ignition is present when applying.
Base 381 Tilt Panel Primer should be applied as 1 even coat over the entire surface. Do not pour over the surface and attempt to flood the area or allow to pool. Use steady long strokes and avoid overworking the sealer or pushing your roller too quickly as this may trap air bubbles in the coating.
Keep the pail sealed when not in use.
Avoid application on hot surfaces.
Base 381 Tilt Panel Primer may be applied using a brush, solvent-resistant roller or airless sprayer. Care should be taken to avoid overspraying onto adjacent surfaces. Any overspary should be cleaned up immediately using a clean solvent soaked rag.
DRYING TIMES
Base 381 Tilt Panel Primer will be touch dry within 1 hour and fully cured within 24 hours.
Base 381 Tilt Panel Primer should be top coated within 1 week of application.

Approx. 6m²/L
